Cairns is the home of ‘neverending summer’.

Experience Cairns … an exciting, vibrant city, Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and surrounded by lush tropical, World Heritage listed, rainforest and a smorgasbord of natural attractions. It is the only place in the world where two world heritage areas meet – the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest.

Climate

Cairns has two distinct seasons; the "dry" season (or winter) from May to October with temperatures ranging from 18-28 degrees Celsius. During this period you can expect beautiful sunny days and balmy nights. The tropical summer, or "the wet" extends from November to April with temperatures ranging from 23-31 degrees Celsius. The months with most rain and stormy weather are December and January.
